The field visit to the medicinal plant garden for the Diploma in Pharmacy students held on the 25th of January 2025 aimed to enhance students’ knowledge of medicinal plants by providing practical exposure to their identification, therapeutic and cosmetic uses, and cultivation techniques. During the visit, students actively engaged in observing and documenting various plant species, learning to identify them based on morphological characteristics. Experts guided them through the significance of each plant in traditional and modern medicine, explaining their pharmacological properties and applications. Additionally, students gained insights into sustainable cultivation practices, proper plant management, and the conservation of medicinal flora.






The field visit provided an enriching learning experience, allowing students to deepen their understanding of medicinal plants through direct observation and practical engagement. By identifying various plant species, exploring their therapeutic and cosmetic applications, and understanding cultivation techniques, students gained valuable insights that reinforced their theoretical knowledge. This hands-on exposure bridged the gap between classroom learning and real-world applications, enhancing their professional skills in pharmaceutical sciences.
