The hands-on training and demonstration of the Rotary Vacuum Evaporator held on the 21st April 2025, began with an introductory session explaining the equipment’s fundamental principles, components, and working mechanism.
The resource person (Shri Shantu Kar) highlighted its key role in solvent recovery, concentration of extracts, and other pharmaceutical applications. This was followed by a live demonstration, during which students observed the correct setup, operation, and safety measures required. Participants were then allowed to operate the equipment under supervision, which fostered engagement and allowed them to apply theoretical concepts in a practical setting. The interactive nature of the session encouraged students to ask questions and clarify doubts, making the learning process more effective and enjoyable. The training concluded with a brief discussion on troubleshooting common issues and maintaining the equipment for long-term use.

The hands-on training and demonstration of the Rotary Vacuum Evaporator serve as a crucial step in enhancing students’ practical understanding and technical competence in pharmaceutical manufacturing. By providing real-time exposure to essential lab equipment, the training bridges the gap between theory and practice, preparing students for successful careers in the pharmaceutical industry.
