Innovative Teaching-Learning Session on Mnemonics Enhances Learning of Human Anatomy and Physiology

The Institute of Pharmacy, Assam Don Bosco University, organized an engaging offline session on “Innovative Teaching-Learning: Mnemonics as a Skill Applied in Memorizing and Remembering Human Anatomy and Physiology More Effectively and Efficiently” on October 24, 2025, from 10:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. The activity was conducted as part of the NAAC Attribute 5.0 – Pedagogical Approaches initiative.

Students of B. Pharm 3rd semester were divided into 15 groups of four members each and were assigned specific topics in Human Anatomy and Physiology. Each group utilized the mnemonic technique to prepare creative chart-based presentations aimed at simplifying complex concepts and improving memory retention.

The session witnessed enthusiastic participation, with students showcasing innovative and effective mnemonic-based learning strategies. This interactive approach not only deepened their conceptual understanding but also encouraged them to incorporate such creative pedagogical tools in their academic learning. The event successfully demonstrated the importance of innovative teaching-learning methods in enhancing student engagement and improving educational outcomes.
