An outreach program of Bio-NEST NIPER Guwahati Incubation Centre on the topic “Bridging the Gap Between Academia and Industry” was successfully organized on 19th March 2026 at the Auditorium, Block I, Institute of Pharmacy, Assam Don Bosco University (ADBU). The event was conducted in offline mode from 1:00 PM to 2:30 PM.
The program was organized by the Training & Placement Cell, Institute of Pharmacy, ADBU, in collaboration with the Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC), ADBU, with the aim of fostering stronger connections between academic learning and industrial expectations.



The session was graced by Dr. Bethsheba Basaiawmoit, Incubation Manager at Bio-NEST NIPER Guwahati Incubation Centre, who served as the keynote speaker. She shared valuable insights into the current industry landscape, emphasizing the importance of innovation, entrepreneurship, and skill development among students to meet industry demands.
Dr. Basaiawmoit highlighted the role of incubation centers like Bio-NEST in supporting startups, nurturing innovative ideas, and providing essential resources for young researchers and entrepreneurs. She also discussed opportunities available for students in translational research, startup incubation, and industry collaboration. The program concluded with an interactive session in which students actively engaged with the speaker, asking questions about career opportunities, startup funding, and industry expectations.
