Proud Academic Milestone: Dr. Supran Chakravarty Successfully Defends PhD

The Department of Civil Engineering, Assam Don Bosco University, is delighted to congratulate Dr. Supran Chakravarty, Assistant Professor, Department of Civil Engineering, on the successful defense of his PhD from the prestigious National Institute of Technology Mizoram (NIT Mizoram), with a major part of his research carried out at IIT Guwahati. His doctoral research focused on the “Hydro-morphological response around T-shaped spur dikes, particularly the role of wing thickness under seepage-affected conditions,” contributing to the understanding of complex flow, sediment transport and scour processes associated with river training structures. This significant academic achievement reflects Dr. Chakravarty’s dedication, perseverance and commitment to research, and represents a proud moment for the Department of Civil Engineering and the entire Assam Don Bosco University community.
