The Department of Social Work, Assam Don Bosco University, organized a Career Counselling Lecture Session on “Professional Opportunities and Challenges for MSW Freshers” on 30th May 2025. The session was facilitated by Mr. Eddy Edward Kujur, State Programme Manager at NEIDA and a PhD Scholar of the Department, with the objective of providing insights into diverse career pathways in social work, including NGOs, government sectors, CSR, mental health services, and research. The discussion also addressed key challenges faced by freshers, such as limited employment opportunities, financial constraints, and workplace stress, while emphasizing resilience, continuous skill development, and professional networking. The session enhanced students’ understanding of industry expectations and strengthened their preparedness for the job market, with the participation of 59 MSW 4th Semester students.
