Alumni Talk on Professional Journey and Public Service

The Department of Social Work, Assam Don Bosco University, Tapesia, organized an Alumni Talk titled “Learning, Leading and Aspiring: My Journey” on 30th May 2025. The session was delivered by alumna Ms. Miranda Sonowal, Child Development Project Officer (CDPO), Abhoipur ICDS Project, Charideo District, Assam. The objective of the alumni talk was to provide students to real-world insights into social work practice and career pathways in public service. She reflected on her journey from student life to her administrative role, highlighting the importance of integrating academic learning with field experience, community engagement, and child welfare programme implementation. The session also emphasized perseverance, hard work, continuous learning, and professional networking. The interactive discussion enhanced students’ motivation and preparedness for future roles, with the participation of 54 MSW 4th-semester students.
