Observance of Vigilance Awareness Week & Lecture on “Vigilance – Our Shared Responsibility”

The Department of Social Work, in collaboration with the NSS Cell and the Chief Minister’s Special Vigilance Cell, Government of Assam, observed Vigilance Awareness Week 2025 under the theme “Vigilance – Our Shared Responsibility.” As part of the observance, an orientation session and Integrity Pledge were conducted on 28 October 2025, followed by a Vigilance Awareness Talk on 1st November 2025 at the Tapesia Campus. The programmes aimed to promote integrity, transparency, and ethical responsibility among students and faculty. Alongbar Basumatary, Inspector from the CM’s Special Vigilance Cell, emphasized vigilance as a lifelong practice rooted in self-awareness and honesty. He also highlighted the collective responsibility of citizens in combating corruption. The sessions encouraged introspection, ethical conduct, and active citizenship, reinforcing the university’s commitment to nurturing values of integrity, discipline, and social responsibility.
