



The Department of Botany proudly celebrates the remarkable achievement of its students, who secured First, Second, and Third positions in an essay writing competition organized by the Department of Zoology, Assam Don Bosco University, on the occasion of National Science Day.
The competition featured an on-the-spot essay writing format, challenging participants to demonstrate their critical thinking, creativity, and subject knowledge within a limited timeframe. The topic announced for the event was “Viksit Bharat 2047: Role of Women in Science and Innovation.”
We are delighted to share that C. H. Sousanai secured the First Prize. The Second Prize was awarded to Mirjalin Engtipi, which was shared with another participant. The Third Prize was secured by Benjungtila Longchari, also shared with another participant.
Our students showcased exceptional insight and articulation, highlighting the transformative role of women in shaping the future of science, technology, and innovation in India. Their essays reflected a deep understanding of gender inclusivity, scientific advancement, and the vision of a developed nation by 2047.
This outstanding accomplishment not only underscores the academic excellence and intellectual capability of the students but also brings great pride to the Department of Botany. The department congratulates the winners for their commendable performance and encourages all students to continue striving for excellence in both academic and co-curricular activities.
