Vigilance Awareness Week 2025

Vigilance Awareness Week was observed across the country from 27th October to 2nd November 2025. The theme for this year was “Vigilance: Our Shared Responsibility”. The University Grants Commission (UGC) had issued guidelines to all higher education institutions to actively participate in the observance of this week.
In line with the University’s directives, the Department of Mathematics, Assam Don Bosco University, organized a Workshop on “Ethics and Transparency” on 30th October 2025
(Thursday). The resource person for the workshop was Professor Tarini Kumar Dutta, Department of Mathematics, Assam Don Bosco University. The workshop was conducted in Room No. 240, Block I, at 11:00 a.m. The program commenced with an inaugural address by Dr. Fokrul Alom Mazarbhuiya, Head of the Department, who emphasized the importance of ethics and transparency in academic institutions.

Following the inauguration, Professor Dutta delivered an insightful presentation supported by PowerPoint slides, highlighting the significance of ethical conduct and the need for transparency in professional and academic practices. A total of 53 participants, including faculty members and undergraduate and postgraduate students, actively participated in the workshop. The sessions were highly interactive, with students asking questions and sharing their views on the topic. The program concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by Dr. Sujit Talukdar, Assistant Professor of the Department. The workshop successfully sensitized participants to the values of ethical behaviour, integrity, and transparency, fostering a culture of responsibility and accountability within the academic community.
