Invited Lecture

The Department of Zoology, Assam Don Bosco University, in collaboration with the Eco Club of Assam Don Bosco University, successfully organized an Invited Lecture on the topic:
“Turtles and Tortoises of Northeast India: Bridging Community-Based Conservation, Molecular Diversity, and Evolutionary Insights.”
The lecture was delivered by Dr. Chittaranjan Baruah, Associate Professor,Department of Zoology, Darrang College (Autonomous), Tezpur.

The insightful session provided students with valuable perspectives on the diversity, conservation, molecular aspects, and evolutionary significance of turtles and tortoises of Northeast India, while highlighting the importance of community participation in wildlife conservation.
