Career Counselling Session on “Entrepreneurship Development through Innovation in Aquaculture and Fisheries

The Department of Zoology, Assam Don Bosco University successfully organised a Career Counselling Session on “Entrepreneurship Development through Innovation in Aquaculture and Fisheries” on 11 September 2026 at the ADBU Tapesia Campus.

The session was enriched by the presence of Dr. Sanjay Sarmah, District Fishery Development Officer, Kamrup, Department of Fishery, Government of Assam, who served as the Resource Person and shared his expertise and practical insights with the participants.

The session was conducted with the objective of familiarising students with the career opportunities, entrepreneurial prospects and innovative approaches in aquaculture and fisheries. The programme provided valuable insights into the scope of fisheries as an emerging field for skill development, employment and entrepreneurship.

The programme was attended by UG, PG and Ph.D. students along with faculty members, creating an interactive platform for learning, discussion and exploration of future opportunities in the fisheries and aquaculture sector.
