The Entrepreneurship Awareness Program was successfully conducted by the BioNEST-IASST Guwahati in collaboration with the Training & Placement Cell, Institute of Pharmacy, Assam Don Bosco University (ADBU), and IQAC, ADBU. The program was held on 24th April 2026 from 11:00 AM to 12:30 PM in Auditorium Block I, in offline mode.
The session commenced with a brief introduction to the objectives of the program, highlighting the importance of entrepreneurship in the field of pharmacy and life sciences. The initiative aimed to inspire students to explore innovative ideas and understand the startup ecosystem.
The event featured two distinguished speakers from IASST, Guwahati:



- Ms. Farhina Akhtara, Manager (Incubation & Outreach), BioNEST-IASST
- Ms. Tribeni Das, Assistant, BRACE-IASST
Ms. Farhina Akhtara delivered an insightful talk on the role of incubation centers in nurturing startups. She explained how BioNEST supports early-stage entrepreneurs through mentorship, funding opportunities, infrastructure, and networking. Her presentation emphasized transforming scientific ideas into viable business ventures.
Ms. Tribeni Das further elaborated on the support systems available under BRACE-IASST, guiding students on how to initiate their entrepreneurial journey. She provided practical insights into proposal writing, incubation processes, and available government schemes that promote innovation.
The session was interactive, with students actively engaging in discussions and raising queries about startup funding, idea validation, and career pathways in entrepreneurship. The speakers addressed these questions effectively, motivating participants to consider entrepreneurship as a career option.
