Pharmacy Students Promote Awareness on Antimicrobial Resistance Through Nukkad Natak Competition

The Institute of Pharmacy, ADBU, organised a Nukkad Natak (street play) competition on 9th October 2026 at Sonapur Market, Assam, as part of the 65th National Pharmacists Week 2026 celebration. The competition was conducted under the theme “Swastha Bharat: Combating Antimicrobial Resistance.”

The event encouraged our students to use street theatre as an effective medium to spread awareness about antimicrobial resistance (AMR), a growing public health concern. Through creative performances, impactful Hindi dialogues, and realistic situations, students highlighted the dangers of antibiotic misuse, self-medication, and the importance of using antimicrobials responsibly under the guidance of qualified healthcare professionals.
