NORTHEAST NSS FESTIVAL-2026

The North East NSS Fest–2026 was held at Assam University, Silchar, with the aim of promoting service, leadership, national integration, and social responsibility among NSS volunteers. Students from various North-Eastern states participated, creating a platform for cultural exchange and learning. Three volunteers from the Department of Psychology, Assam Don Bosco University represented the institution.

PROGRAMME HIGHLIGHTS

Day 1 The fest began with an inauguration and orientation sessions that emphasized the role and values of NSS in nation-building. Interactive introductions fostered unity among participants.

Day 2 included a yoga session and a seminar on Man-Animal Conflict, enhancing awareness of environmental issues. Cultural performances by different state teams showcased regional diversity.

Day 3 focused on personal development through group and cultural activities, promoting teamwork, confidence, and emotional growth.

On Day 4, an educational visit to the Assam Rifles Camp provided insights into military life, discipline, and national security, followed by discussions on social issues like substance abuse.

The final day included creative activities such as poster-making and kite-making, along with a valedictory session where participants shared experiences and reflections.

The NSS Fest–2026 was a meaningful experience that strengthened leadership, cultural understanding, and social responsibility among volunteers. It reinforced NSS values and left participants with lasting learning and a deeper commitment to community service.
