An orientation session for internship was conducted by the Department of Psychology, Assam Don Bosco University, for B.A. 4th Semester students on campus in Room No. 202, Block II.
The primary objective of the session was to prepare students for their upcoming internship in mental health settings by providing essential guidelines and practical understanding of professional conduct. The orientation covered key aspects such as methods of conducting clinical observations, maintaining appropriate decorum in institutional settings, accurate data recording, and proper maintenance of daily log sheets.
Special emphasis was placed on confidentiality, ethical practices, and professional responsibilities while interacting with clients and mental health professionals. The session aimed to ensure that students are well-equipped with the necessary skills and ethical awareness required for effective and responsible engagement during their internship.
The programme contributed to enhancing students’ preparedness for field-based learning and supported the development of professional competencies aligned with their curriculum requirements.
