Orientation Program on Introduction to Research and Literature Review

An Orientation Program on “Introduction to Research and Literature Review” was conducted on 26 August 2026 from 11:00 a.m. onwards for the BA 7th Semester and MSc 3rd Semester students of the Department of Psychology. The session was facilitated by Dr. Maria Choudhury, Assistant Professor, Department of Psychology, who introduced the students to the fundamental concepts and processes involved in psychological research, with particular emphasis on understanding research, identifying relevant research problems, and conducting an effective literature review. The session highlighted the importance of reviewing existing literature, identifying research gaps, critically evaluating scholarly sources, and developing a clear foundation for future research work. The interactive orientation provided students with valuable insights and practical guidance to strengthen their research skills and prepare them for their academic research projects.
