The Department of Economics, Assam Don Bosco University, organized a field trip to Manas National Park on 28–29 March 2026 for the PG students (MA Economics) to enhance student’s practical understanding of the course on Environmental Economics offered by the department. More than 25 students accompanied by two faculty members – Dr. Ananya Kashyap and Mr. Seilienthang Baite participated in the event.

The visit aimed to provide students with practical exposure to environmental and ecological concepts discussed in the classroom. During the trip, students took part in a nature walk and a safari, gaining firsthand experience of the rich biodiversity and natural beauty of the park. The excursion also gave students an opportunity to appreciate the importance of environmental conservation and sustainability.

In addition to its academic value, the trip also encouraged bonding, interaction, and relaxation, allowing students to connect with one another and with nature. The trip also fostered teamwork, curiosity, and academic interest in the subject. Overall, the field trip was a meaningful and enjoyable learning experience contributing to holistic development of the student.
