Career Counselling on Essential Skills for Career Growth in Banking Sector

On 12th of February 2025, the Department of Economics, Assam Don Bosco University, successfully organized a special career counselling session on ‘Essential Skills for Career Growth in Banking Sector’ for the final year students of the department along with few interested faculty members. The event was conducted in collaboration with TimesPro and Bajaj Finserv, aiming to provide valuable insights into the essential skills required for career advancement in the banking sector.
The resource person for the session was Mr. Rahul Bosak, Trainer, TimesPro, who delivered an engaging and informative and upskilling talk on key competencies, industry expectations, and career opportunities in banking and financial services. Mr. Bosak covered various topics necessary for the banking sector such as communication skills, analytical abilities, and financial literacy, and adaptability providing critical attributes for aspiring professionals in the field.

Inaugural Ceremony of Eco Spectrum 4.0

On 13th February 2025, inaugural ceremony was conducted for the fourth edition of the departmental Wall Magazine entitled ‘ECO SPECTRUM’ at 11 AM in front of the Room No. 123 in Academic Block-2 in presence of Fr. James Chacko, Director of School of Humanities and Social Sciences (SoHSS), Assam Don Bosco University, Dr. Abdur Rashid Ahmed, HOD, Department of Economics, other faculty members of the department and all present students of the Department of Economics, Assam Don Bosco University.

The coordinators of the current edition of the Wall Magazine ‘ECO SPECTRUM’ was Ms. Jyotika Hazarika and Mr. Seilienthang Baite, faculty members of the Department of Economics, Assam Don Bosco University for selection of this year’s theme and entire process of coordination with students and administration.
The event was hosted by Ms. Philapdianghun Rymbai, a student of 2nd Semester MA Economics of the department with her welcome address. Then she invited Fr. James to formally inaugurate the Wall Magazine ‘ECO SPECTRUM’. Fr. James also delivered an inspiring speech on the good initiative of the students reflecting important topics such as Budget 2025 and AI focusing on ‘ViksitBharat@2047’. Later, Lamshai John Thyrniang, a student of 2nd Semester MA Economics, explained the insights of this year theme of Wall Magazine ‘ECO SPECTRUM’ providing details of all pillars of the Union Budget, 2025.
