Department of Economics at ADBU organized a Workshop on “Communication Skills” on 31st October 2025

The Department of Economics at Assam Don Bosco University, recently organized a “Communication Skills Workshop” on 31st October 2025 in collaboration with STEP Academy, Dimapur, Nagaland. The person of attraction of the program was Mr. Worrin Muivah, Founder and CEO of STEP Academy, Dimapur. Mr. Muivah has over 10 years of experience in the development and corporate sector having worked across 4 countries in Europe and Asia. He has a Master’s Degree in Development Studies from the International Institute of Social Studies (ISS), Erasmus University, The Hague, Netherlands, and is a recipient of the prestigious National Overseas Scholarship (NOS) from the Govt of India. He is also a Young India Fellow, a liberal arts postgraduate Fellowship delivered in collaboration with the University of Pennsylvania, King’s College London, Science Po Paris, University of California Berkeley and Yale University.

The workshop aimed at enhancing the students’ interpersonal and communication skills and abilities, which are essential for academic, professional, and personal growth. In summary, he shared his experience and his initial struggle but gradually overcame his hesitation for learning through consistent self-improvement and small, confident steps.

The workshop concluded with an interactive session where students asked their questions and got their doubts clarified. The session ended with a vote of thanks delivered by Mr. Seilienthang Baite, expressing gratitude to Mr. Worrin Muivah.
