Alumni Talk held aT Dept of MNE

The Department of Mechanical Engineering at Assam Don Bosco University hosted an alumni talk on 22 May 2026. Dr. Leena H. Nemade welcomed the participants. Distinguished alumni Mr. Helish Hojai (BPCL) and Mr. Bijayendra Borah (BCPL) shared industry insights. They offered strategies for passing Public Sector Undertaking (PSU) recruitment processes. The speakers contrasted PSU work cultures with private firms like Reliance Petrochemical. They stressed mastering core engineering concepts for written exams and interviews. The session highlighted managing workplace pressure, staying professional, and building interpersonal skills. Finally, they advised students to prioritize gaining initial job experience over high starting salaries to boost future career growth.
