The Department of Public Administration, Assam Don Bosco University, is pleased to announce a Special Lecture on “Literature Review and Research Methodology” for M.A. dissertation students.

This academic session is designed to equip postgraduate students with essential knowledge and skills required for dissertation writing, research design, and methodological approaches.

Resource Persons

  • Dr. Ramesh Sharma, Head of the Department of English
  • Dr. Abdur Rashid Ahmed, Head of the Department of Economics

Both speakers will bring interdisciplinary perspectives, enriching students’ understanding of research in public administration.

Objectives of the Lecture

  • To introduce the purpose and process of conducting a literature review
  • To familiarize students with various research methodologies
  • To provide guidance on research ethics, data collection, and analysis techniques
  • To prepare students for writing structured and high-quality dissertations

About the Sessions

The lecture will be conducted in two sessions:

Morning Session (11:00 AM – 12:30 PM):
Focus on conducting an effective literature review, including identifying research gaps, structuring reviews, and avoiding plagiarism through proper referencing.

Afternoon Session (2:00 PM – 3:30 PM):
Focus on research methodology and dissertation writing, covering research design, data collection methods, analysis techniques, and ethical considerations.

Coordination

The session will be coordinated by Dr. Pankaj Kumar Kalita and co-coordinated by Ms. Manashi Parashar. The Head of the Department, Dr. Saurabh Chandra, will deliver the keynote address.
