





The Department of Public Administration, Assam Don Bosco University, organised a PG Extension Lecture on “Administrative Theory and Principles” from 23 to 25 March 2026 at Academic Block–5, Room BA–011. The lecture series was conducted for M.A. Semester II students to enhance their academic and professional understanding of administrative concepts.
The sessions were delivered by Dr. Nayah Gazelle Abang, Senior Lecturer from the University of Buea, Cameroon. Over three days, the lecture series covered key areas of administrative thought, including Bureaucratic Theory with reference to Max Weber, Human Relations and Post-Classical Theories, and Motivation Theories such as Maslow’s hierarchy of needs.
The sessions were highly interactive, encouraging student participation and critical discussions. The resource person effectively linked theoretical frameworks with real-world administrative practices, making the content relevant and engaging.
A total of 29 students participated in the programme, benefiting from the in-depth academic exposure and international perspective. The lecture series strengthened students’ analytical skills and deepened their understanding of governance and organizational behaviour.
Overall, the programme was academically enriching and contributed significantly to students’ learning and professional development.
