Educational Field Trip to Liatlum Canyons Organized on 30 January 2026

The Department of Public Administration, Assam Don Bosco University, organised a one-day educational field trip to Liatlum Canyons, Meghalaya, on 30 January 2026. The trip aimed to provide students with experiential learning opportunities beyond the classroom while promoting teamwork and practical administrative understanding.

The field trip was coordinated by Ms. Manashi Parashar and Mr. Rupak Biswas, under the guidance of Dr. Saurabh Chandra, Head of the Department, and accompanied by Dr. Pankaj Kumar Kalita. A total of 18 undergraduate students from different semesters participated in the programme.

Students engaged in various recreational and group activities, including horse riding and team-based exercises, which encouraged collaboration, leadership, and coordination. The trip also provided insights into administrative planning, resource management, and teamwork in real-life settings.

Safety measures were strictly maintained throughout the journey, and students adhered to all instructions provided by faculty members. The programme successfully combined academic learning with recreation, enhancing students’ understanding of public administration concepts in a practical context.

Overall, the field trip was a meaningful and enriching experience, contributing to students’ holistic development and reinforcing the importance of experiential learning.
