Industrial Visit to Assam Administrative Staff College Organized on 19 March 2026

The Department of Public Administration, Assam Don Bosco University, organised an industrial visit to the Assam Administrative Staff College (AASC) on 19 March 2026 to provide students with practical exposure to administrative training and governance. The visit aimed to bridge the gap between theoretical learning and real-world administrative practices.

A total of 30 students participated in the visit, accompanied by Dr. Saurabh Chandra (Head of the Department), Dr. Pankaj Kumar Kalita, Ms. Manashi Parashar, and Ms. Kungpuilu Pamei. During the visit, students engaged in an interactive session with Assam Civil Service (ACS) officers, who shared valuable insights on civil services preparation, time management, and overcoming challenges in competitive examinations.

A key highlight of the visit was the opportunity for students to appear for an entrance test for a UPSC coaching programme, encouraging them to assess their readiness for civil service careers. Students were also given a guided tour of the institution, including the library, training centre, and classrooms.

The visit proved highly enriching, enhancing students’ understanding of governance, administrative processes, and career opportunities in public service.
