Special Lecture on Changing Role of Economic Policy and Budgetary Allocation in India

On 26th September 2023, the Department of Public Administration, Assam Don Bosco University (Tapesia Campus) organized a Special Lecture on “Changing Role of Economic Policy and Budgetary Allocation in India” at the Seminar Hall, Academic Block V.

The session aimed to promote financial awareness among students and witnessed the participation of around 250 attendees. The lecture was delivered by Dr. Abdur Rashid Ahmed, Head of the Department of Economics, who provided an in-depth understanding of India’s economic policies, budgetary allocations, and their evolving role in governance and development.

The program commenced with an introductory address by Fr. Zacharias George, Director of the School of Humanities and Social Sciences, who highlighted the significance of financial literacy in everyday life. The event was coordinated and anchored by Dr. Chandrima Das, Assistant Professor.

The lecture was highly interactive, with students actively engaging in a thought-provoking Q&A session. The event concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by Ms. Dhritima Deka, followed by a group photo session.
