

The Department of Public Administration, Assam Don Bosco University, organised an Orientation Programme on UGC-NET/JRF Examination on 6 November 2025 at Block-5, Tapesia Campus. The programme aimed to guide postgraduate students on examination structure, preparation strategies, and career opportunities related to the UGC-NET/JRF examination.
The session was conducted by Mr. Rupak Biswas, Assistant Professor, Department of Public Administration, who provided a comprehensive overview of the examination. He explained the purpose, eligibility criteria, and pattern of the UGC-NET/JRF exam, along with categories such as Junior Research Fellowship and Assistant Professorship.
The session also focused on effective preparation strategies, including syllabus understanding, conceptual clarity, revision techniques, and the importance of mock tests and current affairs. Special emphasis was given to key areas such as Administrative Theories, Public Policy, Financial Administration, and Indian Administration.
A total of 29 M.A. Public Administration students participated actively in the programme. The session was interactive and informative, helping students gain clarity about their academic and research goals. Overall, the programme successfully motivated students to prepare systematically for the UGC-NET/JRF examination.
