Bridge Course Orientation Program for B.A. and M.A. 1st Semester Students Organized by the Department of Public Administration

The Department of Public Administration, Assam Don Bosco University (Tapesia Campus), organized a Bridge Course Orientation Program for B.A. and M.A. 1st Semester students on 11th and 12th August 2025 as part of university guidelines.

The sessions were conducted in Block V (Pharmacy Classroom) on 11th August and Room No. B1-019 on 12th August, with the participation of around 60 newly admitted undergraduate students. The B.A. 1st Semester orientation was facilitated by Ms. Manashi Parashar, Assistant Professor and Mentor.

Additionally, the M.A. 1st Semester orientation session was conducted by Dr. Pankaj Kumar Kalita, Assistant Professor and Mentor, who guided postgraduate students regarding the course structure, academic expectations, and research-oriented learning approach.

The orientation aimed to introduce students to the academic framework of the department. Students were familiarized with the curriculum structure, including core courses, major and minor papers, electives, credit system, and examination patterns. The session provided guidance to help students make informed academic choices and understand the expectations of their program.

In addition to academic orientation, the session emphasized the importance of discipline, punctuality, attendance, and maintaining proper decorum within the classroom and campus. University guidelines regarding dress code and code of conduct were also discussed.

The program concluded with an interactive Q&A session, where students clarified their queries regarding course selection and departmental procedures. The orientation helped students feel confident, informed, and motivated as they began their academic journey at the university.
