The 5th semester students of the Department of Hospitality & Hotel Administration ADBU showcased their creativity and innovation during a recent practical session on Mocktail Preparation and Presentation. The class turned into a lively blend of colors, flavors, and imagination as students experimented with ingredients to design their own self-innovative mocktails.
Each student conceptualized unique beverages that reflected balance in taste, nutrition, and visual appeal. From herbal infusions and spiced fruit blends to layered tropical coolers and wellness-inspired drinks, the students demonstrated their understanding of flavor pairing, mixology techniques, and garnish artistry. The emphasis was on creating refreshing non-alcoholic drinks suitable for diverse occasions and modern consumers who seek both health and indulgence.
The practical not only enhanced students’ technical and sensory skills but also encouraged critical thinking, innovation, and presentation aesthetics—key aspects of modern beverage management. The faculty appreciated the students’ originality, teamwork, and professional approach.
This session truly highlighted the potential of young hospitality professionals to reimagine beverages with creativity and purpose, blending traditional ingredients with contemporary styles—proving that mixology is an art of flavor, design, and storytelling.
