The World Tourism Day 2026 celebration offered a beautiful journey through the ethnic food traditions of Northeast India. Students presented authentic local tastes using indigenous ingredients, traditional recipes and age-old cooking methods. The stalls reflected the unique food identity of different ethnic communities. Simple flavours, locally available resources and community food knowledge remained at the centre of the experience. More than just tasting food, visitors could explore the stories and traditions behind each preparation. The event celebrated ethnic cuisine, local food knowledge and the rich culinary heritage of Northeast India.
