1st Alumni Meet Organized by the Department of Public Administration

The Department of Public Administration, Assam Don Bosco University (Tapesia Campus), successfully organized its 1st Alumni Meet on 10th May 2025 in a hybrid mode, enabling participation both offline at Cenacle Hall, Academic Block V, and online via Google Meet.

The event aimed to reconnect alumni with their alma mater, strengthen academic and professional networks, and foster a sense of community among past and present members of the department.

The program began with a warm welcome address by M. Wandakani Dora, followed by an address from Prof. Riju Sharma, Head of the Department, who highlighted the department’s growth, achievements, and future plans. Dr. Saurabh Chandra, Alumni Coordinator, emphasized the importance of alumni engagement and continuous collaboration.

The event featured a series of engaging activities, including cultural performances such as a Sambalpuri dance and a Manipuri dance, showcasing the vibrant cultural diversity of the students. A key highlight of the program was the Alumni Talk Session by Swal Tripura, who shared valuable experiences and professional insights, inspiring current students.

An interactive open session allowed alumni to share memories and reflections, strengthening the emotional bond with the institution. The event concluded with closing remarks by Dr. Pankaj Kumar Kalita, marking the successful completion of the program.

The meet witnessed active participation from alumni across batches, both online and offline, reflecting strong engagement and enthusiasm. The event laid a strong foundation for future alumni interactions and collaborations, reinforcing the department’s commitment to building a connected academic community.
