Special Lecture on Comparative and Global Administrative Frameworks in Social Welfare Governance

The Department of Public Administration, Assam Don Bosco University (Tapesia Campus), organized a Special Lecture for M.A. 3rd Semester students on 21st August 2025 at 3:35 PM.

The lecture was delivered by Dr. Nayah Gazelle Abang, Ph.D. in Public Administration (Political Science), Department of Political Science, University of Maroua. The topic of the lecture was “Comparative and Global Administrative Frameworks in Social Welfare Governance.”

Dr. Abang provided an insightful analysis of how different countries design and implement social welfare programs, highlighting the importance of comparative approaches in understanding administrative systems. She discussed the evolution of welfare states, global best practices, and the challenges of governance in the context of economic inequality, political instability, and globalization.

The lecture also encouraged critical discussions among students on aligning India’s social welfare systems with global trends while preserving its socio-cultural uniqueness. The session offered a valuable opportunity for students to gain international academic exposure and broaden their perspectives on public administration.

The program was coordinated by Ms. Manashi Parashar, Assistant Professor, under the guidance of Prof. Riju Sharma.
