The Department of Public Administration, Assam Don Bosco University (Tapesia Campus), in collaboration with the National Service Scheme (NSS), celebrated Constitution Day on 26th November 2024.
The event marked the commemoration of 75 years of the adoption of the Indian Constitution, highlighting its significance as a living document that embodies the aspirations, rights, and responsibilities of citizens. The celebration aimed to deepen students’ understanding of constitutional values such as democracy, justice, liberty, equality, fraternity, and unity in diversity.
As part of the celebration, a special lecture on “Constitutional Values: Reflections on Democracy and Justice” was organized at Block V at 11:00 AM. The lecture was delivered by Prof. Arupjyoti Choudhury, Vice Chancellor of Madhabdeb University, North Lakhimpur, Assam.
The session provided valuable insights into the relevance of constitutional principles in contemporary society and encouraged students to actively uphold democratic values in their personal and professional lives.
The event served as an important platform for academic reflection and civic awareness, reinforcing the role of education in nurturing responsible and informed citizens.
