Lecture on Literature Review & Research Methodology for M.A Dissertation Students – 16 September 2025

The Department of Public Administration at Assam Don Bosco University organized a special lecture on “Literature Review and Research Methodology” for M.A. dissertation students on 16 September 2025. The event was conducted in the Interactive Panel Room in two sessions at 11:00 AM and 2:00 PM.

The session aimed to strengthen students’ understanding of research design, literature review techniques, and dissertation writing. The program was coordinated by Dr. Pankaj Kumar Kalita and co-coordinated by Ms. Manashi Parashar. The Head of the Department, Dr. Saurabh Chandra, delivered the keynote address and inaugurated the session.

The lecture featured two distinguished resource persons: Dr. Ramesh Sharma (HoD, English) and Dr. Abdur Rashid Ahmed (HoD, Economics). Dr. Sharma elaborated on conducting effective literature reviews, highlighting research gaps, structuring techniques, and plagiarism avoidance. Dr. Ahmed focused on research methodology, covering research design, data collection, analysis, and ethical considerations.

The sessions were highly interactive, with students actively participating in discussions and clarifying their doubts. The interdisciplinary approach enriched their learning experience. Overall, the lecture proved highly beneficial in guiding students toward producing structured, ethical, and high-quality dissertations.
