Student Research Convention 2025 (ANVESHAN): University-Level Competition Announcement

The Department of Public Administration, Assam Don Bosco University, Tapesia Campus, Sonapur, Assam, is pleased to announce the University-Level Student Research Convention 2025 (ANVESHAN), scheduled to be held on 28 October 2025 (Tuesday).

This convention is organized in collaboration with the Research and Development Cell (RDC) and is part of the national initiative by the Association of Indian Universities (AIU) to promote student research and innovation across disciplines.

About ANVESHAN

ANVESHAN is a flagship student research convention initiated by AIU in 2007 to identify and nurture outstanding research talent among students. The winners at the university level will represent Assam Don Bosco University at the Zonal Level ANVESHAN 2025–2026 to be held at Apex Professional University, Arunachal Pradesh.

Categories for Participation

Students are invited to submit research projects under the following six areas:

  • Agriculture
  • Basic Sciences
  • Engineering & Technology
  • Health Sciences and Allied Subjects
  • Social Sciences, Humanities, Commerce, and Law
  • Interdisciplinary Research

Eligibility & Nomination

  • Projects must be nominated by the respective Heads of Departments
  • A maximum of two projects per department may be nominated
  • Participants must be full-time bonafide students (UG to PhD level)

Guidelines for Participants

  • Projects should be original, innovative, and feasible
  • Group projects may have up to four members
  • Presentations may be in the form of posters, models, demonstrations, or oral presentations
  • The competition will consist of two rounds:
    • Poster Presentation
    • Oral/Podium Presentation (for shortlisted participants)

Important Note

All Heads of Departments are requested to submit nominations on or before 27 October 2025 through the prescribed Google Form.

Significance

This initiative promotes a culture of research, innovation, and interdisciplinary learning among students. It aligns with NAAC quality parameters related to research, innovation ecosystem, and student participation in academic enrichment activities.

The department encourages active participation from all eligible students to showcase their research potential and contribute to academic excellence.
