Special Lecture on Women Empowerment

On 3rd October 2023, the Department of Public Administration, Assam Don Bosco University (Tapesia Campus) organized a Special Lecture on “Women Empowerment” at Block-1 Auditorium.

The session was delivered by Mrs. Krishna Baruah, ACS Officer and State Head of the Assam Rural Livelihood Mission (ASRLM), Government of Assam. The program commenced with a welcome address by Dr. Saurabh Chandra, followed by the felicitation of the guest speaker by the Honourable Vice-Chancellor. The Director of the School of Humanities and Social Sciences also graced the occasion and appreciated the initiative.

In her lecture, Mrs. Baruah elaborated on various government initiatives under ASRLM aimed at empowering women and promoting sustainable livelihoods. The session witnessed active participation from around 100 students and concluded with an engaging interaction between the speaker and the audience.

The program concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by Dr. Pankaj Kumar Kalita, Head of the Department. The event was coordinated by Dr. Pankaj Kumar Kalita and convened by Dr. Saurabh Chandra, with the presence of faculty members of the department.
