Interactive Session on Administrative Services: Experiences and Challenges

On 6th October 2023, the Department of Public Administration, Assam Don Bosco University (Tapesia Campus) organized an Interactive Session on “Administrative Services: Experiences and Challenges” at the Auditorium, Academic Block I.

The session featured Mr. Nishkam Diwakar, OSD to the Honourable Governor of Assam, who shared his firsthand experiences in public administration. He emphasized the importance of vigilant administrative staff, efficient governance, and the need for citizen-centric approaches such as public hearings.

The event was hosted by Dr. Chandrima Das, Assistant Professor, who introduced the speaker and set the context for the discussion. The session was highly engaging, with students actively participating in a thought-provoking Q&A session, making it an enriching learning experience.

The program concluded with an address by the Honourable Vice-Chancellor, Rev. Fr. (Dr.) Jose Palely, who highlighted the evolving role of public administrators and the importance of developing problem-solving skills. The session ended with the felicitation of the guest speaker.
