“Flavours, Techniques, and Trends: A Mixology Masterclass”

The Department of Hospitality and Hotel Administration, Assam Don Bosco University, organized an engaging and informative workshop on “Cocktail Masterclass” on 11th September 2025, from 1:00 p.m. onwards, at the Tapesia Campus. The session aimed to provide students with hands-on exposure to the world of mixology and beverage innovation, which are essential skills in the modern hospitality industry.

The workshop was conducted by two expert resource persons from Nao Spirits, India’s pioneering craft gin company known for its signature brands Greater Than and Hapusa. The experts shared valuable insights into the art and science of cocktail-making, focusing on balance, flavor profiles, glassware, and presentation techniques. Live demonstrations showcased the preparation of both classic and contemporary cocktails, highlighting the role of Indian botanicals and sustainable ingredients in modern mixology.

Students enthusiastically participated in the session, learning not only practical skills but also the professional etiquette and creativity required behind the bar. The interactive masterclass concluded with a Q&A session and a note of appreciation from the faculty. Overall, the “Cocktail Masterclass” by Nao Spirits was a refreshing blend of learning, innovation, and professional inspiration for budding hospitality enthusiasts.
