The Department of Public Administration, Assam Don Bosco University (Tapesia Campus), organized an Intra-Departmental Quiz Competition on 13th October 2023 at 11:05 AM in the Cenacle Hall, Block V. The event aimed to encourage academic excellence, critical thinking, and active participation among students.
The program commenced with an inaugural address by Fr. Dr. Zacharias George, Director of the School of Humanities and Social Sciences, who highlighted the importance of such academic activities in enhancing students’ knowledge and confidence.
A total of 12 teams participated in the competition, making it a vibrant and competitive event. Team Volga, represented by Jyotsna Chowdhury and Madhu Thakur from MA 3rd Semester, secured the 1st position. The quiz was efficiently conducted with the support of student volunteers, where Jeniberth Sangma and Sengkhan Sangma served as scorer and timekeeper respectively.
The event was coordinated by Mr. Rupak Biswas, Assistant Professor, with active involvement and contributions from all faculty members of the department. The quiz featured multiple rounds designed to test participants’ knowledge, analytical skills, and quick thinking.
Faculty members played key roles in organizing the event, including supervision, question setting, student coordination, and logistics management. The competition concluded with the announcement of winners by the Director, followed by appreciation of participants for their enthusiastic involvement.
The event successfully concluded at 12:50 PM, marking a productive and engaging academic exercise for all participants.
